VETUS APPOINTS SALES MANAGER FOR NORTHERN ITALY
VETUS, the global innovation company for complete marine product systems, has appointed Daniele Torretta as Sales Manager for Northern Italy in a move that will enable it to be even more pro-active with original equipment manufacturers and key clients in this key market.
Most recently Sales Manager Marine Pleasure Yacht Sector Italy for Twin Disc working with all main Italian boat builders, Daniele was earlier Senior Sales Manager for RTN for more than 13 years and was, among other things, in charge for the launch of the marine propulsion system Fortjes by Reintjes and of the innovative hybrid propulsion system Auxilia by RTN. He has worked closely with a range of key clients on the development of their portfolio of hybrid and diesel electric applications.
At VETUS Daniele will report to Davide Baldereschi, who was appointed as the company’s new Italy Branch Manager in April.
Daniele has worked in the marine sector since 2007 and has a wide range of experience, especially in the propulsion and hydrodynamic fields.
During this time in the maritime industry, he also studied for and achieved a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Organization at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
LORENZO RENZETTI APPOINTED SALES DIRECTOR SUPERYACHTS FOR MAXWELL MARINE
Anchoring systems specialist Maxwell Marine has appointed Lorenzo Renzetti to the key role of Sales Director from its operations in Italy where he will focus primarily on promoting and selling Maxwell Superyacht equipment and engineering solutions to the booming superyacht industry.
Maxwell, which in 2019 celebrated 50 years of experience and innovation in the manufacture of the world’s highest quality anchor windlasses, ancillary deck gear, stern mooring equipment and custom anchoring solutions for yachts and small commercial vessels, says strengthening its sales team in Italy will enable it to be even more pro-active towards original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and key clients, engaging with them to meet individual needs.
Educated at the University of Rome where he studied mechanical engineering, Lorenzo was previously Area Manager covering the centre-south of Italy for Milan-based SAIM Group which distributes components and accessories for marine and industrial businesses.
Lorenzo said: “I am delighted to join Maxwell Marine at this exciting time for the superyacht construction industry and am looking forward to working closely with key clients and manufacturers to offer sales packages that focus on individual needs.”

VETUS MAXWELL APPOINTS NEW APPLICATIONS ENGINEER
Baltimore-based VETUS Maxwell Inc has appointed Tieren R Ebbitt as Applications Engineer. A professional yacht captain and former US Marine, Tieran brings with him a wealth of technical experience in the marine sector. He will be based at the VETUS Maxwell’s Baltimore office working directly with the sales managers on technical marine mechanical, electrical and hydraulic projects.

Tieren attended the Lincoln Technical Institute at Columbia, Maryland, where he studied automotive technology in depth, including diagnostics and repair in a real-world environment. As a US Coast Guard 50 Ton Master licensed captain, Tieren’s previous roles have involved working for a wide range of vessel transfer and chartering companies along the US East Coast, principally in Maryland and Florida. Most recently, Tieren was Customer Service Account and Project Manager, at The Hinckley Company in Easton, Maryland, where he managed relationships with 65 high net worth clients, covering 60-plus yachts and, among other things, provided technical solutions to various projects and maintenance under way.
