5 PLUS Warranty

When a VETUS engine is purchased together with a complete VETUS around the engine package, warranty will be extended from three to five years. On top of these generous engine warranty terms (3+2 years), VETUS products will ensure you have a long and carefree time using your boat.

How does it work?

When you buy a new VETUS engine and a complete VETUS around the engine package from an official VETUS dealer, it will contain the following:

• Stern gear system
• Propeller
• Flexible coupling
• Cooling water strainer
• Water separator/fuel filter
• Exhaust system (hose, waterlock, muffler, gooseneck, transom exhaust connections and air vent)
• Engine remote control
• Louvered air suction vents

An installation form will be used by your dealer/installer, to apply for the 5 PLUS warranty.

Warranty Policy

The following articles from our warranty policy apply on this promotion:

Article 8

All warranty claims will be rendered null and void in the following situations:

• If any scheduled maintenance has not been performed by an authorized VETUS dealer
• Faulty installation or assembly of the product
• Improper use of the product
• Failure caused by the owner or user’s lack of care
• In the case of external calamity
• If instructions concerning use have been neglected/ignored
• If the warranty period of 60 months has expired

Article 9

Exclusions: situations not covered under this warranty:

• Wear and tear of parts
• Consequential costs such as (but not limited to) – transport costs, labour costs, cranage, lifting costs, etc
• Damage as a result of environmental influences
• Pollution, freezing, overheating and overload
