For our R&D department, we are looking for a: Mechanical Project Engineer VETUS is in search of a versatile Mechanical Project Engineer who excels in a creative environment while managing a variety of innovative projects for a distinctive global market. We’re looking for a flexible team member of any gender capable of overseeing product development in its broadest sense. At VETUS, the designated engineer is responsible for the entire development process, from concept to market launch, including testing, validation, and the transition to production, both internally and externally. Enhancing existing VETUS products is also a key aspect of the role. Within an enthusiastic development team, you’ll create new ideas and collaborate with external development and production partners. Tasks Overseeing the entire product development process Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to collectively achieve objectives Maintaining the existing products in our portfolio Defining and developing a project roadmap (administration, planning, monitoring and management) Providing technical support to other departments (Sales/Service/Marketing) Requirements HBO (MBO+) Degree in Mechanical engineering (or comparable) Fluent in either Dutch or English language Familiar with at least the basics of (diesel) engine mechanics Experience with SolidWorks Experience with Sheet metal design is a plus Affinity with maritime/automotive or related field is a plus We offer This is a full-time role within a dynamic yet streamlined organization.
