About the role:

Are you a hands-on technician who loves working on boats and solving complex technical issues? We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and support our customers throughout Italy – and occasionally France, Spain and the Netherlands.

In this role, you’ll be on the road a lot: from commissioning systems on luxury yachts to troubleshooting and maintaining installed  VETUS and Maxwell products. You’ll also provide training to service partners and resellers, making sure they know exactly how to work with our systems.

You’ll be part of an international support team – but you’ll have plenty of independence in your daily planning and decision-making.

 What you’ll do:

  • Visit shipyards and customer locations to perform technical service and repairs.
  • Commission systems on motorboats, sailboats and superyachts.
  • Carry out inspections, testing and start-ups of VETUS and Maxwell systems.
  • Write clear, detailed service reports.
  • Deliver training sessions to workshops, resellers and local partners.
  • Share field insights with R&D and Quality teams to improve our products.
  • Plan and coordinate your own field visits in consultation with the local General Manager or sales contact.

What you bring

  • A technical background (vocational or university level) in mechanical, electrical, electronic or marine engineering.
  • Experience in field service or system commissioning.
  • Knowledge of onboard electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with VETUS and/or Maxwell systems is a plus – not a must.
  • Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Willingness to travel regularly (within Italy and abroad).
  • Good command of technical English, both spoken and written.
  • A valid driver’s license (Category B).
