As the year draws to a close, we reflect on some of the highlights from what has been a busy 2025 for VETUS. 2025 Highlights<\/strong><\/h3>\n

1. Six Decades of Innovation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This year marked over 60 years of VETUS in business. To celebrate its \u201c60+1 anniversary,\u201d VETUS hosted a memorable series of events at its new headquarters in Schiedam.<\/p>\n

The celebrations began with the VETUS Family Festival, which welcomed employees and their families to enjoy a true festival atmosphere, complete with flags, lanterns, and colourful summer d\u00e9cor.<\/p>\n

This was followed by the official headquarters opening and anniversary celebration for international partners and clients. To commemorate this significant milestone, a private Sakura tree planting ceremony was held, a special gift from YANMAR\u2019s head office in Osaka, Japan, symbolising an enduring partnership and shared growth.<\/p>\n

Guests were then chartered across the water to the SS Rotterdam, where a celebration party on board brought the festivities to a close in truly unforgettable style.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n

2. New Global Headquarters<\/h3>\n

The opening of VETUS\u2019s sustainable, purpose-built headquarters in Schiedam marked a significant phase of company expansion, securing future growth and innovation. The state-of-the-art 6,500 m\u00b2 facility brings together office, commercial, and advanced test spaces, enhancing operational efficiency, meeting evolving customer expectations, and strengthening employee satisfaction.
\nThe new headquarters enables the team to showcase products and carry out in-water testing, with dedicated mooring spaces for VETUS demonstration boats. Sustainability is central to the design, with a rooftop solar panel array generating much of the building\u2019s energy. The remaining energy requirements are met through dedicated wind and hydro sources, resulting in a carbon-neutral footprint.
\nThe office move is part of VETUS\u2019s wider long-term strategy for growth and development, which has seen the increase of its global presence through the opening of new branch offices, as well as multiple regional team expansions, all of which have been driven by the significant increase in sales.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

3. Technology collaborations<\/h3>\n

2025 saw VETUS strengthen collaborations and integrations with leading brands such as Suzuki, YANMAR, and Mastry, expanding compatibility and joint solutions.
\nVETUS Maxwell Inc. and Mastry Engine Center announced a new factory-backed thruster installation program, bringing advanced manoeuvrability and control to boaters. The collaboration enables customers to have VETUS\u2019s high-performance thrusters integrated into their vessels with the confidence of Mastry\u2019s expert installation and the assurance of a three-year warranty.
\nVisitors to this year\u2019s IBEX could experience a VETUS\u2013Suzuki Marine demo boat and discover the integrated joystick control system. Combining Suzuki\u2019s advanced controls with VETUS BOW PRO thrusters, the partnership delivers effortless, precise, and intuitive docking for every boater.
\nIn cooperation with NMEA\u00ae, VETUS also recently extended existing NMEA 2000\u00ae PGN to include waterlock temperature, enabling real-time monitoring, trend visualisation and alerts directly on a vessel\u2019s MFD, contributing to smarter and safer onboard systems.<\/p>\n

4. Innovation and Electrification<\/h3>\n

VETUS continue to focus on electric and sustainable propulsion solutions. At boot D\u00fcsseldorf a selection of quiet, low- maintenance, and emissions-free electric propulsion systems were showcased, alongside a new, higher-output E-LINE model to sit within the existing liquid-cooled E-LINE range, complementing the existing 6kW, 8kW and 11kW models.
\nThroughout the Autumn boat shows, visitors could see the innovative E-LINE Electric Propulsion product, a powerful, compact 48V electric drive system tailored for both repower projects and new builds. With Active Electronic Braking, the system eliminates the need for a clutch or gearbox, enabling precise manoeuvring and quick directional changes with minimal energy loss, ensuring clean, silent, and efficient cruising.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n

5. Continued Partnerships<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This year has seen a number of inspiring and adventurous individuals take to the seas powered by VETUS. Key personalities include:<\/p>\n

Sailing La Vagabonde –<\/strong> Riley and Elayna embarked on their boldest project yet, Mission <\/strong>Micronesia, a six-month expedition exploring the remote islands and atolls of the Western Pacific. Along the way, the team has navigated challenging passages, pristine coral ecosystems, and rarely visited anchorages.<\/p>\n

Through storms, onboard repairs, and breathtaking island stopovers, VETUS equipment has remained a cornerstone of the vessel\u2019s performance and safety. From fresh water pumps and toilets to portlights, hatches, and the anchor rode counter with windlass control, VETUS and Maxwell solutions have delivered reliability when it matters most.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

SV Delos<\/strong> – Brian and Karin Trautman continued work on their ambitious project to build\u00a0Delos 2.0<\/em>, a custom-designed aluminum catamaran, crafted for comfort, resilience, and sustainability. This expeditionary catamaran is custom-built with sustainability and long-term cruising in mind. The new Delos Explorer 53 will feature a hybrid-electric propulsion system, and VETUS is playing a vital role in supplying essential components, including the propeller shaft, shaft seal, seawater strainers, exhaust system, and soundproofing, along with a Maxwell RC12 windlass for reliable anchoring.<\/p>\n

Odd Life Crafting \u2013 <\/strong>We caught up with Duca at Metstrade to find out all about the re-build of their new sailing boat. Check out the VETUS Facebook<\/a> and Instagram<\/a> for all the videos. His boat is being built for adventure with plans to get out on the water for the first time in 2026.<\/p>\n

MJ Sailing \u2013 <\/strong>VETUS is supporting Matt and Jessica Johnson by supplying a comprehensive range of products for the couple\u2019s ambitious project to build a custom 42-foot Max Cruise Marine catamaran from the ground up. The project is now gaining momentum, with recent milestones including the installation of a new YANMAR engine.<\/p>\n

Sailing Parlay Revival \u2013<\/strong> New Zealand based Colin MacRae, spent his life savings from a 10-year career as a superyacht engineer to buy a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran. He and his friends have shared many memorable moments this year including how to recover from storm damage, being reunited with their dogs, overcoming injury and illness, alongside surf and adventure in Indonesia.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s next for VETUS? <\/strong><\/p>\n

The combination of infrastructure, partnerships, and innovation signalled VETUS\u2019 transition into its next phase of global expansion. Looking ahead, there are a host of exciting projects in the works, including:<\/p>\n

  • Partnerships<\/strong>: Further updates are on the horizon, including existing partner Suzuki, highlighting the benefit of over 60 years of experience in boat systems and its expanded facilities<\/li>\n
  • Ambassadors: <\/strong>The team will welcome new faces using VETUS products to help them accomplish their dreams on the water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    VETUS\u2019 mission remains clear going into 2026: To enhance the performance, comfort, and safety of onboard systems, making docking, cruising, and onboard operation easier, quieter, and more efficient than ever before. The future of marine excellence continues to be reshaped, through sustained global expansion and an unwavering dedication to quality and performance.<\/p>\n
